Watch these stories with your child. As needed, stop the story and ask your child a question.  If your child is unsure or answers incorrectly, have you child look at the picture and ask the question again.  You may have to replay or restate the story. At the end of the story, ask your child to recall the events that took place in the story.

This task can also be completed without technology. Reading to your child is a great way to work on language skills. As you read, stop and ask your child questions about the story. Have Fun!

Use the link below to listen to stories with your child. As needed, stop the story and ask your child questions related to the story. Have your child use the pictures to help them answer the questions. If your child responds using only 1 word, ask them to give you more details. If they have a hard time doing this, provide a phrase or sentence and have them imitate you. After the story is finished, have your child recall what happened first, next, and last. On the left side of the page you will also find various activities for sequencing and questions to be completed after your child has listened to the story.
