If you have a student who is a safety, please help them get to our meetings once a month on time. I have to collect the belts, distribute them to the new safeties for the following month and talk about any problems and upcoming things happening. All of the dates for meetings were on the back of the sub phone list so there are no excuses about not knowing we had a meeting. Also, Cathy announces when we have a meeting the day before. Meetings are at 8:15. Thanks so much
“Thankful Pancake Breakfast”
Thank you to the families who donated the items as well as helped to cook and serve for our special breakfast! We had a great time together!
Please consider donating for a great cause this holiday season! Yougartopia is joining with The Gleaners Community Food Bank to collect Cans for a Cause. This can drive will help support those in need all throughout the year. Please send in cans or non-perishable food items by Monday, November 21st. There are boxes by each classroom and in the main lobby. The class who collects the most food items will win $5 gift cards to Yougartopia and a visit from their mascot, Milley! Thank you for help!

Social Studies Regions Project for Mrs. Pelaccio’s Class
The students will be writing a brochure for their Human Characteristic. We have been studying Regions of the United States and this is the final project for Unit 2. They will be responsible to complete this assignment by Wednesday of next Week…November 9th. (Together with my class, which was responsible for a 3 to 5 paragraph research essay) they will be displayed in the hallway.
This is worth 100 points, and will be their first grade of the second quarter.

Wayne County Regional Enhancement Education Millage Proposal
School districts in Wayne County have placed a proposal on the November 8th ballot to provide added funding for our schools. It is the “Regional Enhancement Millage Proposal.”
If approved by the entire county, the 2 mil proposal will generate approximately $6.2 million from Dearborn but the District will receive $7.8 million in additional funding for our schools. Money would go to local schools starting this year and the millage expires after six years. Continue reading
