Today in reading we discussed how to get a book from our class library. They are organized by letters, colors, and shapes. The students practiced looking at the sticker to place it back in the correct bin. We also practiced constructive conversations with a partner by telling them “My favorite part from the story was….”. We had to listen and remember what our partner told us.
In math we practiced using graphs to organize data. We counted objects, recorded the totals, and decided which object there was more of.
In social studies we discussed class expectations. The students made a list of rules for our class and signed their name to our poster. We will display it in our class to remind ourselves of the good choices to make.
In writing we read “The crayon box that talked”. It was a story about being unique and we wrote what makes us unique. We colored in a crayon that will be displayed on a bulletin board outside our class!
