I hope everyone had a blessed Thanksgiving. I am grateful for many blessings in my life, especially the very lovable students I get the pleasure of working with every day. Now that we have had a much needed break, we are back at it again today. We have a full week ahead with much to do.
We will have our field trip to the DIA and Parade Company on Friday. If you have not turned in permission slips yet please get those in ASAP.
Here is what we will be learning this week:
Math: We will continue learning how to measure liquid volume using mL and L. We will be focusing on word problems as well.
Science: We are working as engineers to design carts. This week we will test our carts to see if the start position affects how far the cart will travel.
Social Studies: We will be learning about the causes and effects of the British coming to Michigan.
Reading: We will be analyzing the author’s point of view in informational text and comparing it with our own.
Writing: We are beginning to draft our informational books. This week we will focus on adding subheadings and organizing ideas into chapters.
