It was great seeing some of you last week during conferences, and I’m looking forward to meeting with everyone else this week. Our conference nights are Tuesday and Thursday. If you have a conference on one of those days, please do your best to be on time as the evening is very busy.
Here is what our week looks like:
Math: We are exploring measuring masses using a pan balance, spring scale, and digital scale. We will also start learning how to measure liquid volume.
Science: Students received a study guide last week. The test will be on Tuesday. The answer key is on the blog if you want to look at it or help your child study.
Social Studies: We will continue studying about Native Americans in Michigan by studying old stories of theirs and learning about how they interacted with Europeans.
Reading: We will be studying author’s point of view in literature and comparing it to our own point of view.
Writing: Now that we have studied what good authors do to write informational text, we will begin planning our own informational book. Students will choose a topic they want to write about and begin brainstorming ideas.
