Just a reminder that Monday, we have a math quiz. Our quiz will be on adding & subtracting decimals using word problems, multiplying decimals, and writing decimals in expanded form. Please refer to your math notebooks for notes.

First off, WELCOME back to school…. this will be a great school year!
Remember that today Wednesday, September 13 is Open House at Salina Intermediate.
Open House will be from 3:30-5:00.

Students, just a reminder that we will have our social studies and math tests this Friday (May 5). I have attached both of the study guides in case you misplace yours. Continue doing NWEA practice…we will have the math and science NWEA tests next week. If you have any questions, please let me know.

Prodigy
I noticed that some of you are doing really well on the Prodigy M-STEP practice…keep up the great work and continue practicing! However, some students have not done any practice. For those of you who have not done much practice on Prodigy…you need to log on and get going with the test ( you can only access the test for a few more days).

Updates and Reminders…
Here are some recent news and reminders…..
Wednesday, March 28 is elementary parent-teacher conferences.
Thursday, March 29 is 5th grade PBIS reward day. Students will have a choice between swimming or gym time and watching a movie.
Next week…. April 3-7 is spring break, school will resume on April 10.
Also, 5th grade will begin the M-STEP Test on April 11. There is a link on the iBlog which students can click on and practice important skills that will help them on the M-STEP.

January 25…Updates
Good evening parents and students,
We will be having our next math test this Friday, January 27. You need to review your study guide. You can click on the following Khan Academy link to help you review adding fractions with unlike denominators:
The science study guides will be going home tomorrow (Thursday) and the science test will be Monday, January 30. I have also uploaded the study guide here on the iBlog, under the Science tab.
Also, the last day of the 2nd card marking period is this Friday (1/27). Report cards should be going home with students sometimes next week.

News and Reminders 1/13/17
Hello parents and students,
We took the NWEA Language Usage assessment today….overall, students did really well. Keep up the good work!! Students should be reviewing the social studies study guide on Colonial America. I have uploaded it here as well ( click on the link at the bottom that says colonial life study guide). We will have the Unit 4 social studies test on Wednesday, January 18. Students should also be reviewing for the NWEA through the links provided here on the blog.
Enjoy the long weekend! Get lots of rest…next week is packed with assessments:(
