Today we wrapped up our unit covering Chapter 14 “The Formation of Western Europe”. Today concluded the by covering Chapter 14 Sections 3 and 4 and began our study guide for the Chapter 14 Quiz Monday.

Make sure you study hard over the weekend (especially the terms) and be ready to go Monday b/c this is our last big assignment before the card marking ends on November 26th.

Here’s a breakdown of today:

o       Vocabulary Match-up Review Activity-Chapter 14-The Formation of Western Europe

o       Lecture-Chapter 14-Sections 3 and 4 (8 Slides)

o       Study Guide-Chapter 14-The Formation of Western Europe

o       Daily Objective-

§        SWD analysis of key terms associated with the unit covering Chapter 14 through the manipulating of vocabulary terms in a collaborative activity

§        SWD analysis of the impact of the Magna Carta and the devastation of the Bubonic Plague on Western Europe through the use of  teacher led guided notes

§        SWD analysis of the materials covered in Chapter 14 Sections 1-4 by preparing a structured study guide

o       Language Objective:

§        Students will read and orally match up important vocabulary terms pertaining to the unit covering Chapter 14 by using a vocabulary match-up activity

§        Students will read and record the impact of the Magna Carta and the devastation of the Bubonic Plague on Western Europe through filling in teacher led guided notes

§        Students will read, and write the key terms and important concepts covered in Chapter 14 Sections 1-4 by completing a structured study guide
