Thank you for all of the lovely pictures I received yesterday! I can’t wait to share them all on tomorrows blog post <3

Here are the activities for Thursday, feel free to contact me if you need help.

The main idea is quantities and subitizing and, this is an area in which we are currently growing.

8 am – Good Morning!

Good Morning Parents and Students, today is… Thursday!

Who remembers which letters we have learned so far?

How many can you identify?

We have already learned the following letters;

  • Cc
  • Oo
  • Ll
  • Jj
  • Ff
  • Ee
  • Gg
  • Dd
  • Pp
  • Bb
  • Rr
  • Kk
  • Ww
  • Aa
  • Mm
  • Ss
  • Hh
  • Xx
  • Nn
  • Zz

If your child isn’t recognizing some of these letters, this is a great time to refresh!

9 am – Outside Time

It’s a great morning for a nature walk!

10 am – Academic Activity

Use paper, cups or an egg carton to section off with numbers 0 – 10! Use small item such as buttons, goldfish, beans, pasta, or cereal. Have your child recognize the numbers written, and place the matching amount of small items in that section.

11 am – Creative Time

Use the same small items from above to build or trace your name!

If writing your first name is too easy, write your first AND last.

12 pm – Lunch Time

Remember to eat your fruits and vegetables <3 Ms. Stafiej is having chili and vegetables! Yumm

12:30 pm – Chore Time

Clean your spot after lunch, help to wash the dishes, clean up your toys and vacuum a room.

1 pm – Quiet Time

Children have time to relax and “charge” their bodies. If your child doesn’t normally nap at home, they can read stories or do a quiet activity of your choice (no screens please!)

2:30 pm – Academic Time

Step 1 – remove the J, Q, K, A, Joker cards.

Step 2 – separate into equal piles for how many players

Step 3 – turn over top cards at the same time, “which number is bigger?” (model with hands depending on numbers)

Step 4 – Winner of that round takes the cards for the bottom of their pile.

Step 5 – Continue until someone has all of the cards
