Art Club students will be bringing home a form that needs to be filled out and returned. You will choose one of two options for the club this semester. Dates for each option are listed on the form. We will NOT MEET this Wednesday (2/15).       I am looking for caps from jars and bottles for a Leader in Me project. Please start collecting and send them in. The electronic permission slip will go home tomorrow. If they did not receive one they will not be attending the PBIS party and will be attending the rethink room.

Ms.Sherlock classroom Valentine’s Day Party will be held on Tuesday February 14th. The kids will do some fun Valentine’s Day activities and have refreshments and snacks.  We will also be watching “Be My Valentine Charlie Brown”.

I have listed items on sign up genius at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/20f0b45adae2ea0f94-valentines  for the items being asked for you to provide/ donate  for the party. On the day of the party, please send in one Valentine’s Day card for each student (26 total) from your child if you choose to. The children will distribute their cards during the party.

Families,WIDA testing begins today Monday, February 6th and will end March 24th. This test is given to English Language Learners. The test will assess students Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking skills. If you have any questions about this please email or call me.

Report cards went home today along with their NWEA reports. 

Our next PBIS celebration will be Thursday, February 16th 1:40-2:10. The theme will be electronics. Students may bring electronics from home or use Chromebooks. Students may play games on their electronic devices lining the hallways. Permission slip will be send home with students to be able to use try electronics. 
Students must have no more than 5 card flips for December and January combined to attend.

PTA Meeting Reminder! Please join the PTA tonight at 5pm in the Media Center to discuss the changes to the Annual Snow Picnic (now carnival) that will be taking place in May this year. We’d like to get some feedback and share what we have in mind. We are also looking for volunteers to help us make this new Carnival a success! Then stay for our February PTA meeting at 6pm where we will go over many items and upcoming events such as Book Bingo, Book Fair, etc. Look forward to seeing everyone there! Thank you!

Movie Night at Snow!

Come watch Zootopia Fri., Feb. 3 at in the Snow gym. 

Doors open at 6:00 p.m.

Movie starts at 6:30 p.m.

There will be popcorn and baked goods to purchase. If you would like to donate baked goods or water for that night, please leave on the bake sale rack outside the office anytime that day.

Parents must accompany children. No drop-offs.

Bring a blanket or sleeping bag, hang out with your friends and watch a free movie!

If you like to place an order today is the last day. I will be placing the order at 9 PM tonight. Thank you to the ones I have ordered already!!

Snow Elementary is committed to fostering an inclusive environment for our students with and without disabilities. As part of our efforts to support students with disabilities we have developed a program to promote awareness.
Peer Pals is dedicated to building relationships between general education students and students with special needs. This program allows general education students to develop empathy and understanding of differing abilities. It allows for students with special needs to build friendships with same age typically developing peers. Some students will be paired in social/academic activities with a peer pal. Student participation is voluntary.
