Donate to Gleaners TODAY!! Donations are doubled!

HI everyone-
Please help Edsel Ford in our Battle Against Hunger!  We’ve come together this year with Fordson and Dearborn to try and collect 100,000 cans as a district.  Each high school and its feeders are competing to see who can collect the most.
Please help us make this happen. If you donate money today, Gleaners will match it.  $1 = 3 meals!! Every dollar/can counts.  Help us spread the word!
Just click the link below, select Edsel Ford, and select the amount you would like to donate.  Thank you for supporting us and helping hungry families in the local area!
In gratitude

Please continue to check your child’s Student Planner to make sure they are completing their homework in a timely manner. All Weekly Reading Logs are due on Monday, and Reading Bags should be going home and coming back to school completed every day. Check your child’s Reading Response Notebook to see if they are up to date on reading assignments. Late and missing work will effect your child’s reading grade in class.

5th graders should bring their instruments to school on the correct day. They must take home their instruments that day as well. They should be practicing daily. Please don’t leave them at school we don’t have room to store them. Woodwinds and Brass are every Monday, while Violins and Percussion are every Wednesday.

Reading bags

Reading response journal will be going home tomorrow with their grade for this report card. It is their responsibility to be filling this out every day. Many have done very well . But a few need a lot of improvement with keeping up to date.

Ask your student to see their Book Bag and explain to you how to use it (See image and details below). Each bag contains books appropriate to their challenge level, a response notebook, and a pen to write with. Students should be reading 30 minutes every night and writing a response to their reading complete with the title of book, pages read, and date.

Book bags are to return to school everyday
