5th grade Social Studies test in Mr. DeSantis’ class is Tuesday, May 1st.

Math test this Friday. Study guide went home today please make sure they complete it for homework tonight. We will go over it tomorrow in class.

Leadership Day is Wednesday, May 2nd in the morning.

5th grade Safety/Service Squad Tigers Game trip is Wednesday, May 2nd from 12:00-4:45p.m.  Students will eat lunch before they get on the bus.  All parent chaperones must have a background check on file in the office.  An informational sheet is coming home today to all 5th graders who are attending the game.

5th grade field trip to University of Michigan-Dearborn for the Rouge River Festival is Thursday, May 3rd from 10:00-1:30.  Students must pack a lunch to eat on the field trip.  No chaperones are required on this trip.

Please remember to check your child’s Student Planner and Reading Bag daily.  Many students are not getting parent signatures in their Student Planner and are falling behind on their Reading Bag assignments.  This will result in lowered grades on students’ final report cards.

5th grade baby pictures and a current picture are due as soon as possible.

SNOW SCHOOL PICNIC!!!

It’s that time of year again….the annual Snow School Picnic is right around the corner! Friday, June 8th is our Snow School Picnic held after school from 5:00-8:00 p.m. More information about tickets and activities will come home soon from the PTA. However, we’d like to get a head start on organizing our classroom raffle baskets. It has been a tradition that each grade collects donations to go into a classroom raffle basket to be raffled off during the picnic. Our 5th grade theme this year is “Gift Card Tree”. We’re asking families to donate items that relate to the theme to be put into our basket. Gift cards can be from any place you desire, and any amount is appreciated. Please send in any donations so we can start organizing our “Tree”. Let’s make a great basket to represent Team 5th Grade for the picnic!

Parents: Please send your child to school with gardening gloves- if you have some- for Monday, April 30. All of our students and staff will participate in a belated Earth Day activity. The action we are taking is to spruce up and clean up our school grounds. We will be picking up trash and garbage and pulling weeds. Thanks in advance!

Reminder that all 5th grade baby and current pictures are due by May 4th.

Rouge River field trip permission slips for 5th grade are due this Friday, April 27th. The field trip is Thursday, May 3rd from 10:00-1:30. 5th graders must pack a lunch to eat on the field trip.

We are finishing M-Step for 5th grade with Social Studies this week. Please make sure your child eats a healthy breakfast, gets a good night’s sleep, arrives to school on time, brings a water bottle and snacks (gum and mints are allowed) on testing days.

Safety and service squad Tiger permission slips are due this week. If your child planned on going please make sure to turn them in as soon as possible.

Hello, Parents! If you are missing some items you might want to check out the Lost and Found at Snow. We will put everything on tables in the lobby for Thursday, 4/19-Monday, 4/23. At the end of the day on Monday we will donate any leftover unclaimed items. There is A LOT of stuff, please take a look and claim what is yours! Thanks!!
