Stout forms
Today stout administration came to visit at Snow. Your child received information for next year. Please take the time to review it with your child. Please make sure your child stout form is retuned to me tomorrow, Friday morning the latest. Thank you

Parents of 5th graders,
This is Mr. Walters. First, hello and I miss being at Snow and seeing your kids every day. I cherish the time I had with them and look forward to seeing them soon.
Second, your child has been given a form to complete for next year’s electives at Stout. This is the time for them to choose music. They can only choose from Band or Orchestra (Strings). There is no choice for choir next year. If your child wants choir in 7th or 8th grades, they should choose either Band or Strings for 6th grade. Three reasons, first they will learn an enormous amount with Mr. Walters in Band or Orchestra. Second, it will be a lot of fun to be together again. Finally, if a lot of kids opt to not take music in 6th grade, but wait for 7th or 8th grade, the numbers could drop so low that they would stop offering music altogether. It is important, therefore, that they select either Band or Orchestra in 6th grade.
If you have any questions contact me at walterj@dearbornschools.org or leave me a voice message at 313-827-8150. I will also be in the Snow School lobby Thursday, May 1, after school if you have any questions.
I look forward to seeing your wonderful children in music.
