Five Below Fundraiser 

Come support the Snow Elementary Cub Scouts Pack 1148 this weekend at Five Below on the Hill.  If you come Fridayand Saturday, the 3rd and 4th of April, from 9:00 am – 9:00 pm and purchase items, 10% will go to the CUB SCOUTS.   A yellow sheet is coming home today with details.

PTA

Attention!!
The Snow School PTA will meet this Thursday, April 2nd 2015 at 6pm in the library for our monthly meeting.  Teachers and parents please feel free to join us to discuss upcoming events such as book bingo, ice cream social and the end of year picnic, PTA nominations for next year’s board, and other PTA business.  This is a great opportunity to get information and find out how you can get involved!  Meetings generally last about an hour.

*The Spelling Test will be this Thursday due to no school this Friday along with spelling packet and book reports. 

Tuesday, March 31– Wear Your Teacher’s Favorite Color Day – (any shade of blue!)

Wednesday, April 1– Wear Your Favorite Sports Team Apparel Day

Thursday, April 2– Crazy Hair Day
There will be ONE Spirit Award given to the class with the highest percentage of participation.

The 2nd Annual Science Fair will take place on May 11th.  We will be starting our Science Fair Project after break. 

The March PBIS party will be this Thursday, April 2nd.  Students can have no more than 4 card changes for the month of March in order to be invited to the celebration.  Congratulations to all students who met the goal of 80% on green for the month of March

Just a friendly reminder tomorrow starts spirit week!

Spirit Week is starting tomorrow Monday, March 30 and ending Thursday, April 2!  Be part of the fun!  We are using this week as a fund raising effort for the PBIS Program.  We are asking for 50 cents per day to participate, or $2.00 for the four days.  Money can be given to the classroom teacher.  Everyone is asked to dress for a theme each day:
Monday, March 30-Hat and Mustache Day
Tuesday, March 31– Wear Your Teacher’s Favorite Color Day – (any shade of blue!)
Wednesday, April 1– Wear Your Favorite Sports Team Apparel Day
Thursday, April 2– Crazy Hair Day

Book fair and Literacy night 

Just a reminder that our class will be visiting the book fair tomorrow morning during our Media Center check out time. Please send money to school with your child tomorrow if they plan on purchasing items from the book fair.

Also, Literacy Night is tomorrow (Monday) from 5:00-6:00 p.m. There will be lots of fun literacy based activities for the family to enjoy together. The book fair will also be open during Literacy Night.

Week of March 16th-20th

Reading Bags must be turned in every Monday.  Please have your child read their book throughout the week and complete the assignment to turn it in on time.

Literacy Night is next Monday, March 23rd from 5:00-6:00 p.m.  Bring the family for some fun activities that involve reading and writing!

Today we started class dojo. Along with PBIS I’ll be using ClassDojo to update you on your child progress the rest of the year! This allows you to see how your child is doing throughout the day. Please sign up, then sign and

Parent Teacher Spring conferences are scheduled for Thursday, March 26th.  I will be scheduling certain parents that I must meet with.  If you have a particular question or concern, you may stop by that evening from 4:00-7:00 p.m.  If you do not receive a letter from me, then I do NOT need to meet with you for conferences.

Remember to wear green tomorrow for St. Patrick’s Day!!!
