Field day

don’t forget field day is Monday afternoon. Please make sure that your child is dressed properly. We will be outside all afternoon starting from 11 AM. Please make sure to send a water bottle with your child. Also a hat would be great to have to block from the sun or sun screen. Sun screen needs to be put on before or by themselves. As of right now the temperature is supposed be warm so we need to make sure that everyone is staying hydrated and sun protected. If you ordered a field day shirt make sure to  where that or a snow schoolteacher if you have one of those. If you are available to help volunteer please take the time to look and sign up for something on the website below. Thank you again. Have a great weekend.

Below is the link to the Sign-up Genius page for our field day volunteer.

 Thank you

Week of May 11th-15th

Thank you to all of the generous families that gave me such wonderful and thoughtful gifts for Teacher Appreciation Week.  I feel truly blessed to be your child’s teacher this year:)

Thank you to the families who have donated to our “Gift card tree” themed raffle basket for the Snow School picnic.  Our basket is growing, but we’re still in need of more donations.  Please send any items for the raffle basket to school by the end of May.

In May, we will NOT  have any more Reading Bags for the rest of the year. please send them back so I can collect them.  Students are still expected to read 15-20 minutes each night and fill in their Student Reading Logs.

Field Day/ Relay for Life!!

Field Day and Relay for Life will take place at Snow School on Monday, May 18.  Activities will start around 11 am with an All School Picnic.  After lunch the students will rotate through 17 stations where they will be doing Field Day Activities.  Two of the stations will be walking the perimeter of our school grounds to simulate the walk for Relay for Life.  Please make sure your student is prepared for the day outside!   If you purchased a Field Day shirt for your student, please have them wear it.  If you did not but have Snow Spirit Wear that would be a great alternative. We will be running a fund raiser called Penny Wars to raise money for a donation to the Dearborn Relay for Life.  Please send in pennies to be added to your child’s class donation.  To add to the fun, any paper money or silver coins that are brought in can be put in another class container to reduce their earnings.  For instance- a nickel put in another container subtracts five pennies, a dime would reduce the amount by 10 pennies, and so on.  Penny Wars starts Monday, May 11and ends after the start of school on Monday, May 18.  We are all looking forward to Field Day, Relay for Life and Penny Wars!  Feel free to stop by and see what is happening!
