Dear Snow Families,
Our next PBIS celebration will take place this Friday, April 29th. Students with 4 or less card flips and no office referrals will be able to attend. The Snow PBIS Team is allowing students to bring their electronic equipment (handheld gaming devices, IPads, etc.) to school. Students are to keep their equipment in their backpacks until the celebration time. Students must bring a signed permission slip from their parent in order to bring an electronic device from home. Permission slips will be sent home this week. Chromebooks will be available for students who are unable to bring electronics.

Snow PBIS

Today we started our observation of our Lima bean plant!!  

With allergy season approaching. We are running low on Kleenex. If you’re able to send in a box we would really appreciate it. Thank you in advance. 

Thank you to Mrs. Aoun, Mrs. Whitaker and Mrs. Shaibi for chaperoning our field trip to the Dearborn historical museum today.  

Spring Pictures are tomorrow (Tuesday). All students will have their pictures taken unless otherwise stated by the parent. No money needs to be turned in tomorrow. You will receive a proof that you can choose to purchase afterwards.

We are starting the third and final phase of our NWEA testing this week and over the next 2 weeks. These scores will be seen on your child’s final report card. Students need to show at least a year’s growth in Reading and Math in order to move onto third grade. Students all know what their RIT goal is for each subject area which were sent home at the beginning of the year.

Spring Picture Day is Tuesday, April 19. Don’t forget to send in your picture slip if you want to purchase pictures. Extras are in the offices. 

We have our field trip to the Dearborn historical tomorrow!! We will be back to school by lunch time.  Make sure you wear comfortable shoes, we still have gym tomorrow too. 

We do not have library check out tomorrow. We were able to switch our day to Tuesday. 

If you have not returned the permission slip for our field trip to Stout yet please make sure you bring it back signed tomorrow. 

Another field trip form went home today it is for our trip to Stout Middle School to watch the hair spray performance. We are walking from snow to stout No chaperones are needed for this field trip. The whole school will be walking and attending this field trip. Please return the permission slip no later than Monday. Thank you  

Make sure you review your two study guide for chapter 9 tonight. Your test is tomorrow.

Our chapter 9 math test on measurement is this Wednesday. Please make sure you are studying with your child today and tomorrow. We will be reviewing again tomorrow please make sure you finish your study guide tonight.

The Snow School Talent Show is this Thursday at 1:30 for students and at 7:00 p.m. for families. Come see all of the talented students at Snow!

Welcome back to school! I hope everyone enjoyed their spring vacation! 
 Thank you to the families that have sent in Box Tops. The school wide contest ends this Wednesday, April 6th. The classroom with the most Box Tops earns a pizza party. I think we’re pretty high up on the count!

I will have the total minutes  for reading done and up tomorrow!! Nice work keep up the reading!!! The more you read the better reader you will become.

Snow School is very fortunate to have the DIA AWAY truck visit us on Thursday, April 7. The truck houses a mobile exhibit with many hands on/technology/art experiences for our students. The parking lot will house the large truck making fewer parking spots and more congestion. Please plan ahead and ask your students that walk in the lot to be extra cautious. The truck will be coming in at 5:30 on Wednesday, April 6. It takes 2 hours to set up and we need it up and running by 8:50 am Thursday. Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for your understanding and support!
