I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving break with family and friends!

Although the can food drive for our feeder high school of Edsel Ford is over, we are still collect canned goods throughout December. Feel free to drop off any donations in the boxes located in the lobby.

Reminder that all Weekly Reading Logs are due on Monday. Students should be keeping up with their Reading Bag assignments and their written responses in their journals.

Keep working on your alien projects they are due December 14th!! I can’t wait to see them. Please don’t bring them in early we don’t have the room to store them all. Your child had the opportunity to check out a Planet book today to help with their research.

Book orders are due Tomorrow. You can purchase online or send in the money or a check with the order form.

There a bug going around. If your child doesn’t feel well in the morning please don’t send them to school. We had a lot out today and a few leave sick today.

Remind your child to always wash their hands and use hand sanitizer daily. Please remind them to couch and sneeze in their arm or into a Kleenex so we don’t spread germs.

Snow School is looking for ways our students are involved in the community and outside of our school day.  If your children are in programs or activities in which they have achieved something- the next level, recognition for their services, involvement in programs, medals in sports, volunteer activities, church or scouts, the list could be endless!- and you wish to let us help you celebrate with them- please send in a photo for our Achievements Showcase!  It is located in the lobby and is seen by everyone!  We welcome the opportunity to promote all the good that our students at Snow do OUTSIDE their school day.  If you have questions please see Ms. Zechar.  Thanks!!

Starting Monday November 27, we have have indoor lineup at Snow. Please remember to make sure all students have coats, hats and gloves as they will still go out for recess- weather permitting! Have a safe holiday!

Movie Night is coming!! Mark your calendars for Friday, December 8th! Doors will open at 6pm, baked goods will be sold, Movie will start at 6:15!!

Holiday Shop will be December 11-13, during schools hours.

You may type, write, draw, or print pictures to complete your project.

Here is what you will need on each page:
-Cover – Passport cover page (you will draw and color an accurate picture of your planet in the space provided – write Interplanetary Space Commission,
Passport on the front)
-Page 1 – Introduction Page
– Mini-photo of your alien (you will need to take this at the end of the project once your alien is completed)
-alien name
-alien age (on earth and on its planet)
-alien weight (on earth and on its planet)
-planet of origin / terrestrial or gas giant?
-Page 2 – Basic Facts
How many planets yours is from the sun (ex. Venus is 2nd planet from sun)
-Any moons? If so, provide the number and some basic information about them.
-atmosphere and composition

Page 3 – A Day in the Life Page
-How fast does the planet revolve around the sun?
-How fast does your planet rotate?
-Length of day and year
-Size of planet
Page 4 – Interesting Facts
– Write a paragraph about your planet that includes some interesting facts.
Page 5 – Description of Alien
-Write a paragraph with a description of your alien. For each characteristic,
write an explanation of why the alien would have it. For example, my alien
has special skin that protects it from the heat. Venus is a very hot planet so it would have needed to adapt to its extreme temperatures.

List your sources
