First Habit Hop
Hi Snow parents!
Please join us for our first Habit Hop (based on the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People) and learn all about the habits that your child is learning about and implementing as a part of our Leader in Me program. Flyers went home today but you can also download the flyer here and send it back to your child’s teacher to reserve your spot!
Family Habit Hop
January 27, 2016
6:00 -7:30 p.m
When you arrive at Snow School please come to the table in the main lobby. Student Leaders will give you a color coded Passport and direct families into the Gym. In the gym the 7 Habits Song students have been learning in Music Class will be sung. Then Families will be called by Passport Color to exit to the first “Hop”. PLEASE follow the order on your Passport. Every 10 minutes Dr. Groover will ring a bell to signal a rotation to the next “Hop”. At the close of the evening Student Leaders will collect the Passports and give each family a 7 Habits Magnet as they leave.
Thanks,
Y-ties
Y-Ties have come to Snow Elementary
We will be doing a Y-Ties fundraiser this year at Snow Elementary. Y-Ties can be used as shoe laces, wrist bands, hair ties etc. Y-Ties are $5.00 dollars per pair. Mr. Moyer will be sending home information with all students about the Y-Ties. There are many different colors and patterns to choose from. All proceeds will go to new equipment for the physical education program and field day expenses. We are asking you pay with cash only no checks please.
Please check out Mr. Moyers blog for more info and email any questions to moyerm@dearbornschools.org
Week of Jan 19th-22nd
Students should continue to practice their math facts for our weekly 4 minute tests. Students have 4 minutes to solve 50 problems. Some students are already moving on to multiplication. Please study with your child every night on this important computation skill.
Our class has already completed our Math NWEA tests. We will be working on reading this week. When all testing is completed, I will be sending home an updated bar graph to compare with their scores from October.
Reminder that tomorrow, Wednesday, is a LATE START day. Breakfast will NOT be served in the classroom. Students can go to the cafeteria starting at 9:00 to enjoy breakfast.
Please make sure you are studying for your science test. Mrs. Sabellico class is taking it tomorrow. My class is Thursday, January 21st.
This Friday is movie night at 6:30pm. PTA is playing Big Hero 6.
