Today, Thursday October 4th we started our new unit on Families of Functions. Students will be learning about the key characteristics of functions and be able to name the types of graphs given. We also had all the students sign up for google classroom. This is the place where students can find answer keys to assignments and an extra copy of the assignment. If a parent would like to be added to the google classroom to get notifications, please email me so I can add you to the class! 🙂

Also, Tuesday, October 2nd, students took their Unit 1 Test – System of Inequalities. These are in the grade book and I am offering a retake next week for this test.

There are three requirements to retake the test;

1. Students must already have 80% of their homework completed (it’ll show in the grade book).

2. Student must make an appointment to do test corrections with me, before or after school.

3. Students will have to fill out a form that’ll have them reflect on why they are retaking the test and it’ll have all the important dates they need in order to retake the test.

This week we have a unit test on Tuesday, October 2nd. We are also starting our new unit  on Wednesday, which is family of functions!

Welcome Welcome!

I hope everyone had a good first week of school! I have had so much fun getting to know my students. Last week we did icebreakers to get to know each other and to have a little fun, and we also went over the syllabus. Make sure that you get you school supplies so that you can stay organized for this semester.

Just a few reminders for this week, we will be having a SLOT quiz Friday (09/07) and I will be doing a homework check next Monday (9/10). The homework check is just to make sure that you are keeping up with your work!
