Numberline counting

We explored a giant numberline and practiced by adding one or two more by hopping on it. We also created a small numberline to take home to practice the same concept. Examples include: start at 2 and add 1. What did you land on? Your child should say 3. We also practiced the same idea of adding using a number chart.

Shoe Drive

Bryant Middle School is conducting a shoe collection drive from October 3-December 20, 2016 to raise funds to support a variety of school enrichment projects . Bryant will earn money based on the number of shoes collected as Funds2Orgs will purchase all of the donated pairs. Those dollars will benefit projects selected by Bryant staff and students. Anyone can help by donating gently worn, or new shoes. All donated shoes will be redistributed throughout the Funds2Orgs network of microenterprise partners in developing nations. Funds2Orgs helps impoverished people start, maintain and grow businesses in countries such as Haiti, Honduras and other nations in Central America and Africa. Proceeds from the shoe sales are used to feed, clothe and house their families. One budding entrepreneur in Haiti even earned enough to send her son to law school. By donating shoes to Bryant’s Drive, the shoes will be given a second chance and make a difference in people’s lives. We would appreciate your support of our worthy cause. Our goal is 7,500 pairs of shoes.

Please help support Bryant by sending in new or gently used shoes by December 15th. Thank you!
