Reading We will continue to discuss Turkeys and focus on answering comprehension questions from literature and informational stories. We will discuss main topic of an informational story and recalling key details. We will identify author’s purpose.
Writing We are learning about informational writing. We will write about Turkeys independently. The sentence stem will be: A turkey is a bird. It can__.
Language Arts Phonics: Letters Cc, Ee. Vv- correct formation (always start from the top and write down), the sound and words that begin with that sound; Phonemic Awareness: Syllables, rhymes, beginning and ending sounds of a word, Sight word: my, he, has (review: I, can, see, like, the, a, look, at, go, to, has, come, we, and, it, is, in)
Math We will be counting numbers 0-50. We will also be counting by 10’s to 100. We will begin Module 3 Measurement and Data. We will focus on length and height. We will compare items and discuss longer and shorter using linking cubes and other objects.
Social Studies We will learn about goods. Goods are things that can be consumed or used. People buy and grow goods everyday. This includes: food, refrigerator, car, etc. We will review needs and wants.

Please dress your child appropriately for the weather. It is getting colder and it is easier to remove layers.
