Batteries for Puerto Rico will begin today! Many months after the devastation caused by Hurricane Maria, Puerto Rico is still in crisis! Over 60% of the population has no power. It is estimated that it will take months to restore the power grid in the entire Island. Let’s help! Our school will be having a battery drive starting today and ending Wednesday, December 6th. These batteries will help operate flashlights, lanterns, blood pressure machines, blood sugar monitors, radios, and other battery operated resources. Most needed battery sizes are C and D.
The class that donates the most batteries will win a donut breakfast! Please have all batteries turned in to the box outside the office labeled “Batteries for Puerto Rico.” Place batteries in a bag labeled with the child’s name and teacher.
Thank you!!!
