Week of March 25th

Reading

We will be identifying text types: storybooks, fiction/nonfiction, poetry. We will be exploring Dr. Seuss stories.  We will learn how to ask and answer a question. We will practice rhymes, and opposites.

Spelling words: (-ig) big, dig, wig, twig, jig, fig, one, two, come

Language Arts

We are learning the r-blends (tr-, br-). Sight words: one, two, come

Writing

We will be write a narrative piece. We will write about getting hurt. Where were you? Who was with you? What did you do first? What did you do next? What did you do then? What did you do last?  

Math

We will practice subtraction and addition. We will also revisit missing addend. We will fill in number bonds. We will add and subtract zero to get the same number. We will find different ways to make 10.

Social Studies

We will continue to learn about maps and globes. we will compare them. We will navigate a map using cardinal directions.
