Reading-We are learning every fact we can about Michigan. Each day, we will focus on a specific aspect of Michigan.
- Monday: Michigan is a peninsula. The state flower is the apple blossom
- Tuesday: The state bird is the American Robin
- Wednesday: The state stone is the petoskey stone
- Thursday: The state tree is the Eastern white pine
- Friday: Write 3 sentences about what you know about Michigan
Phonemic awareness: 3 letter s-blends: (spr-, spl-) spray, splash
Spelling: dip, tip, rip, sip, nip, whip, be, will
Writing: Creating a Michigan Book
Math: Clocks to the nearest hour and half hour. Counting out area in shapes and irregular shapes.
Social Studies: Historical narrative- Johnny Appleseed.
Important Reminders:
- Skating at Lincoln Park Skating Tuesday, May 15th from 6:00-8:00. Howard students are free if they bring their yellow pass.
- Wednesday, May 16th late start. NWEA testing in Math
- Friday, May 18th NWEA testing in Reading
- Field trip permission slip and money due Friday, May 18th
