Reading: We will listening to Peters chair; Family Fun; Jennifer Bing why wont you sing; Rooster goes to Taio’s wedding.
Strategy to focus on: RETELL- we will identify beginning and end of a story. Whenever you read with your child, read the story close the book and ask what do you remember in the beginning? What do you remember in the end? Then check to see if he/she is right.

Letters of the week: Gg, Oo (review these letters and their sounds: Aa, Cc, Dd, Ll, Mm, Pp, Ss, Tt)
Writing: Opinion writing continue. We will read about bats! We will discuss whether or not we like them and why or why not. Our sentence stem will be I like bats because ___. I do not like bats because__. I will help your child to inventive spell through this process. Encourage your child to stretch our what they hear (letter sound) and write the letter down.
Math: We are learning about patterns. We are learning how to extend and create patterns. We will practice using animal sounds, body movement, manipulatives such as unifix cubes and pattern blocks
Science: We are learning about force and motion. We will discuss direction things move and how they move: roll, slide, turn/flip. We will also discuss items we push and pull.
- Push items include: vacuum, grocery cart, stroller, push open a door to leave
- Pull items include: wagon, a toy on a string, pull open a door to enter
Social Studies: We will revisit our rules. Have your child tell you a rule in our class and why its important.
