I hope everyone had a lovely break with their families.
Short week….
We will be investigating butterflies a bit more. We will read multiple stories (fiction and non-fiction). We will view a time lapse of a butterfly’s life cycle. We will work on sequencing and retelling.
We will write about butterflies. We will create a writing map to help us with our writing. We will continue our consistent way of writing a rough draft, revise/edit and then publish.
Spelling words: butterfly, caterpillar, funny, find, fed, bed, led, sled, shed
In Math, we will continue to practice addition and subtraction. We will explore story problems and create number sentences.
In Science, we will discuss how animal change and grow. We will finish this week with caterpillars and discover other animals that can change when they grow.
In Social Studies, we will discuss the flag. We will learn the colors and what the stripes mean. (13 stripes represent the 13 colonies before we became the amazing 50 United States.)
