New unit: Show what you know!

Reading- We will read What do you know, Water Changes, Jack Quacks, The blind men and The elephant, The knee-high man, The kissing hand. We will also read some Mothers’ Day poems.

Strategy: monitor and re-read, compare texts- text to text connections

Writing: We are creating a book for Mothers day.

Spelling: where, me, with, my, they, clap, trap, lap, nap

Word family:-ap (nap, lap, clap, sap, cap)

Letters of the week: Qq, Jj

Math: We are revisiting the pan balance, addition, subtraction, greater than, less than, counting on from any number 0-100.

Science:  continue documenting our plants.

Social Studies: How to work in a team

• Friday is a Mothers day celebration. We will be celebrating from 9:00-9:30. Your child has a few things to share with you. See you then!
