

Identify/review letters in your environment(books, t shirts, cereal boxes). Try to name some letters you find and guess its sound.
Explore rocks. Go for a walk around your house or your neighborhood and collect some rocks. Sort the rocks. How the feel (rough, smooth) or by size.
Read a counting book. Practice counting and naming the numbers.

Color or Shape Tap. Have a family member call out a shape or color. Have the child walk around the room and tap on all the things that are that shape or color!
Walk around your house and explore! How many windows do you have?
Sensory Fun!! Make some Obleck π Mix 2 cups of cornstarch and 1 cup of water. Tip if you want color your obleck add food coloring to the water before you mix it with the cornstarch
Read a book about bugs or insects

Take turns with a family member, roll one or 2 dice. Count the number of dots. Challenge: See if you can write down the number of dots you just counted
What is your favorite color? See if you can 5-10 things that are that color around your house.
Using play-dough create a monster sculptures. Don’t forget to add a variety of body parts (arms, legs, nose, mouth, ect.)
Read a story. Call a friend or family member and tell them about the story
Kitchen and Family Fun!! Spend some time in the kitchen baking a fun recipe!! Talk about the ingredients and directions
Read an ABC book. As you get to see each letter, see if you know the letters sound
Explore your senses. Choose items around your house. (Example: lotion, shampoo, spices). Talk about how they smell, feel, touch, or even taste.
Read a book about Farm Animals or the Zoo Animals. Which is your favorite.
Have your child pick out a stuffed animal or doll and have them point to different body parts (stomach, arms, ears, ect.)

Just a reminder, Friday Ms Pat and I will be at Snow to pass out all your child’s supplies they left at school (Daily 5, Nap Stuff, and change of clothes) from 1030 till 1230. Please message me when you pull into the parking lot and all supplies will be placed outside our classroom door(NO PARENTS ARE ALLOWED IN THE BUILDING). There will be other days within the month to pick up supplies. I will keep everyone posted
Line up all your stuffed animals from shortest to tallest. How many stuffed animals do you have. Count them!
Explore the outside. How many rectangles can you find?
Make a kite. Cut out a diamond on a piece of paper. Use whatever you have at home to decorate it(crayons, markers, stickers). When finished tie a piece of ribbon or a pipe cleaner.
Read your family’s favorite book. Practice retelling the story. What happens first, second, next…, last?
During snack time count how many items they. have (fruit snacks, crackers, ect.)
