GINGERBREAD HOUSES!

We are going to be making Gingerbread houses next week. In order for this project to be successful we will need some items to be donated. If you can send any of the following it would be greatly appreciated.

*Can of White Frosting *Fruit Loops Cereal
*Small Candy Canes *M & M’s
*Chocolate Chips *Mini Marshmallows
*Graham Crackers *Gummy Bears
*Pinwheels *Skittles

Please send all supplies by Tuesday, December 11th.
We will be making our houses on Wednesday, December 12th.

Read By Third Grade

Based on Public Law 306 (October 2016), third grade students who are more than a year below grade level on the state ELA assessment are under consideration for retention in third grade. Dearborn Public Schools staff in elementary schools have been systematically planning to ensure that teachers have the training to teach reading effectively and that students receive small group instruction based on their needs. The current year second graders are the first group to potentially be impacted by the legislation.
You are invited to join the district task force to strengthen the planning process and to ensure that the community is informed and engaged in the success of every student.

PTA MOVIE NIGHT

PTA MOVIE NIGHT

The PTA is having a free movie night for River Oaks students on November 29th starting at 4:45 – 6:15. The movie will be The Cat in the Hat rated PG.

PTA will have a concession stand selling Pizza, Popcorn, Water, Juice boxes and a Bake Sale.

Please bring a blanket, or beach towel, and pillows we will be eating picnic style on the cafeteria floor.

Concession stand is on a first come first serve basis

Children MUST be accompanied by a parent/adult 18 years or older. This event is for River Oaks families only.
