Math Quiz Mondays

Math quizzes focus on current topics that we area learning.  They are useful to help students practice their skills, as well as inform me who is struggling with a particular concept before the main assessments.  I can meet with small groups or individuals to help strengthen these weak areas.  I decided that math quiz Mondays will be good so the students know exactly what is expected of them.  On Fridays, I will give them a practice quiz so they know what the quiz will look like (only different numbers will be used).  They will have the correct answers on this practice quiz and can study or practice on the weekend for the quiz on Monday.

THANK YOU FOR ALL OF THE GREAT “MATH AT WORK” EXAMPLES AND PICTURES FROM 2018!

Math at Work:  I want the students to realize the importance of math, and what better way than to have them interview parents to see how they use math.  I appreciate parents taking the time out to do a little homework!  This will give the students a real-world understanding of how math is used all around us every day.
