Busy Week!!

Hi Everyone!

What a wonderful and busy week!!  Our field trip was wonderful!  Thank you to all of the chaperones who came with us to the aquarium and Rainforest Cafe:-) Check out the Detroit News online and the paper-our Noah is a celebrity and was featured in a photo.   It was a fun and educational trip!!  Today we worked on writing informational reports about sea life and so we did not meet for strategy groups today!  The class really enjoyed working on finding their sea life facts:-)  Our Unit 2 math test is tomorrow-I went over the study guide again today with everyone!  This is their only homework for tonight.  Have a great night and Happy Wednesday!

Halloween Parade and Party!!

Happy Friday Everyone!

I just wanted to give a huge thank you to the many parents who were able to come to our classroom today and provide us with a wonderful party!  We made crafts and had a nice lunch together!  Congratulations to our class for earning a pizza party by winning the lunchtime challenge for 4 weeks!  I am very proud of them!  There is a letter in the owl folder containing information about our Monday, Oct. 31 field trip.  Please take time to read that information and we will look forward to a fun and informative field trip on Monday!

Good morning!

Here is some information regarding our Friday fun for Halloween!

Our costume parade is beginning at 9:30 am-please open the link below concerning appropriate costumes.  After the parade, we will have cider and donuts, then make some crafts!!  We will have a pizza lunch at 12:00-then we need to change into comfortable clothes for gym.  All are welcomed to attend the party, however there will only be enough pizza for our class!  Your student may bring candy to pass if they would like to!  Thank you and have a great day!!

I apologize that some parents misunderstood that our 2nd grade meeting was before school yesterday and not in the evening.  I will be sure to be very specific in my correspondences concerning dates and times for meetings.  If there are ever any questions or concerns, please feel free to write them in the planner as I check those daily.

Busy Week!

Good evening!

We have had a very busy week!  Our class has been busy with NWEA and DRA testing-as well as the district writing prompt!  I got the chance to meet with everyone today and they have a book and a notebook that should come back and forth to school.  They are also being very responsible with both their planners and owl folders!  We have a new special schedule which I will send home tomorrow-our gym day is Friday afternoon so please be sure that the students are wearing their tennis shoes on Fridays!  Have a great night and stay warm:-)
