Good Morning!

Our spelling words for this week are focused on the beginning consonant blends of sl, sk, st, sp, and st.  The words are: slide, skin, skip, step, spell, sprint, skate, stood, sled, and speak.  Our mystery words will follow that pattern.  Tic Tac Toe is due on Friday-please be sure to return the tic tac toe boards with the work attached as that does get added into the report card grade.  I will be giving a study guide this Friday for our math test next Tuesday, Oct. 23.  Thank you all for returning the permission slips promptly!  I am keeping my fingers crossed that we will have great weather, otherwise we will visit the museum instead.  Thanks for all that you do-have a wonderful rest of the week!!!

Good evening!

Just a quick note that our second grade parent meeting is scheduled for 7:45 am this Wednesday, October 3 in the media center.  The time on the October calendar is not correct.  Hope to see you this Wednesday!!  Have a wonderful weekend-math tests will be graded and returned this Monday, October 1.  Go Blue!!  Go Green!!!

We are having our first module math test on THURSDAY (I know it seems quick- there were only 8 lessons).

Thanks to all that attended!  It was wonderful to see everyone.  If you were not able to attend Open House-I will schedule a conference time for you.  It has been such a pleasure getting to know your students these last few weeks!  Today is a half-day, dismissal is at 11:45.  Have a wonderful weekend and Go Blue!!!  Go Green!!! (I can’t help it-my oldest son is on the drumline at U of M.  My youngest son is at MSU.  We are a house divided!!)

I would just like to thank everyone for a wonderful school year!!  Your students have worked so hard and they are a wonderful group of children!  It has been a pleasure being their teacher this school year!  Please remember to read and write this summer and have a wonderful summer vacation to the now 3rd graders!!!!

Hello Everyone!

It has been a whirlwind of a week!  We got all of our testing done-we only have the last spelling test to complete tomorrow!  Our picnic will run from about 10:30-2:30 with the class walking to Levagood around 10 tomorrow morning!  It seems like it is going to be the perfect weather for us which is fantastic!!  The class will be eating lunch provided by the second grade parents so no need to pack a snack or lunch.  Parents are welcomed to stop in and say hello anytime tomorrow-so I hope to see you there.  We are going to be at Playground #5 which is the red, white and blue playground off of Wilson.

Our spelling words for this week are: child, children, goose, geese, mouse, mice, man, men, woman, women, foot, feet, become, became, moose and bonus word summer!!

I can’t begin to tell you how wonderful it has been to have your students this year and see their progress and growth!!  I can’t believe we our at the end of the year already-I blinked and the year went by!
