Welcome Back!!

Hello Everyone!

Welcome back and Happy New Year!!  I hope everyone had a wonderful break!  It is great to see everyone back to school again!

Our spelling words this week are focused on the ar/or vowel combinations.  They are part, park, sort, horse, short, for, are, work, warm, carry and the bonus word is celebration.

Our math focus is geometry.  This is a fun unit and the class is already enjoying the activities.  I sent home a math fact sheet that was labeled December but is fine for January activities.  This is not due until the end of January.  A new reading log was also sent home today for January.  NWEA testing will not begin until next week and I am meeting with strategy groups once this week and then I will clear some time for DRA testing.  I hope to finish DRA’s by next week and possibly NWEA the week of January 22.

Looks like we have some warmer weather coming our way!!  Have a wonderful evening!!

Monday 11/13

Good afternoon!

We have the book fair tomorrow (Tuesday Nov. 14 ) at 2:30.  There are also family nights on Wed. and Thurs. this week if you would like to come later on those nights.  Our spelling words for this week are: crow, low, doe, goes, soap, roast, know, row, roam, show and the bonus words are Thanksgiving and vacation.  Bonus words do not count toward the final spelling score, but the class does get a hoot if they spell the bonus word correctly.

Have a wonderful day!
