Hi there! We have finished the first card marking of Kindergarten! How exciting! I hope you received your conference time slips from the folders last week. Conferences start this Thursday evening. If you are interested in signing up to help feed the staff on these several long nights, please check out this link:

Report cards will be coming home soon. Expect to see many 3s and 4s on the first card as that’s the grading area where most of our Kindergarteners fall at this time of year. Those marks mean progressing and area of concern/needs improvement. A score of 2 means your child is meeting the expectation and a 1 means they are exceeding the benchmark.
Language Arts–this week we are working on letters Uu and Ll. Our sight word is “is”. Keep practicing those rainbows at home as I will be assessing the blue list for most children this week!
Math–we are starting a new module on 2 D and 3 D shapes. Keep practicing counting every night at home as this helps us get a + with our accountability partners!
Science–we are moving into a unit on the 5 senses.
Social Studies–we are beginning our unit on needs and wants as well as goods, services and trade.
No school tomorrow for the kiddos!
Have a great week!
