Monday, March 30th

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a great weekend! This is the last week before spring break. I included a reading bingo board for this week. It is due on Friday.

I will continue to post work every day to help you stay organized so you will finish everything by Friday.

Morning Work

Complete pages 121-125 this week . Complete 1 page every day. You can print the pages or do the work in your journal. In your journal, write the date and page number on each page before you begin to do your work.

Morning Work

Reading: MobyMax reading. Please complete the assignments I assigned. Work on it for 20 minutes.

Math: MobyMax math for 20 minutes.

Spelling: please check the spelling tab above for this weeks spelling. Today you are to write each word 3 times each.

Writing

There are 5 writing assignments for you this week. Use your journal or any paper you have at home. Make sure to put the work in your homework folder so you can turn it in to me if you are not writing in your journal.

Opinion Writing:  Which flavor of ice cream is the best? Include your opinion, 3 reasons for you opinion, and a conclusion. Add an illustration when you are finished writing.

Science/ Writing– Watch the video about Shadows. Write about how a shadow is made in your journal.

We did it! We had another great week of remote learning. Look through my daily posts this week and make sure you have all of your work finished today. I am looking forward to seeing how many Super Duper Star Students we will have this week.

Science/ Writing-  Watch the video Could a Statue’s Shadow Move?. In your journal or on a piece of paper, write about what you learned.

Thursday, March 26th

Here is the work I would like you to finish today. Double check to see if you are on track to finish all of your work tomorrow.

Math -Go on Zearn for 25 minutes today.

Social Studies- Read pages 151-155  Look at the pictures of 3 different school regions on page 155. Can you think of another region of our school that is not pictured on this page? What would you do in that region? Write our answers in your journal.  Social Studies book 

Wednesday, March 25th

Today is read a favorite book day! Please take a picture of your child reading their favorite book and email it to me at berrod@dearbornschools.org. If you took any pictures on Monday and Tuesday, feel free to send those to me as well. 

Please make sure that your child is doing their work on a daily basis. It is very important that we work together as a team to ensure that your child is learning.

For writing: If you haven’t started already, please select an animal from the Detroit Zoo and spend 10-15 minutes watching it. Write what you see the animal doing. If you did start writing, please read through your writing and add a picture of your animal.

For science: Pick an animal from the Detroit Zoo and observe it.

Tuesday, March 24th

Today is work in your pajama’s day. Please take a picture of your child working in their pajama’s.

I found virtual activities on the Detroit Zoo website. This week for science and writing, I will have you explore some of the videos. Please see the details in the chart below.

Writing: Go to the Detroit Zoo website, select one live video of an animal. Watch it for 10-15 minutes and write what you notice. Please take a picture of the writing and send it to me.

Science: Select an animal from the Detroit Zoo and watch a live video of it.

Monday, Match 23rd

Happy Virtual Spirit Week! Today is McDonald Spirit day. If you do not have a McDonald shirt, you can wear green and/or yellow. Please feel free to email me your child’s picture. I would love to see them. Please email me any pictures berrod@dearbornschools.org.
