Hello families. Just wanted to touch base real quick and remind you that your child’s End of the Year results are coming home today! Please check in your child’s folder to review the results and use the handouts as teaching points for summer learning for your child! I am by far so proud of each and every student and you should be too! I am excited to say that every child in this classroom is reading at Kindergarten level and ABOVE! How awesome is that?!?!?
Also, a note went home yesterday about our Kindergarten Celebration! We can’t wait to see you all there! Remember, NO SIBLINGS are allowed! This will be a nice time to be with your child and celebrate his/her accomplishments with fun games, bounce houses and yummy treats! We will also need parents to help out this day, so come ready to lend a helping hand:) If you have any questions, please let me know! Have a great day!
Only 9 more days left of school…can you believe it?!?!? I can’t believe the end of the year has approached us! I feel as though we just got started. I guess the saying is right…”Time flies when you are having fun!”
!!!!Attention!!!! When the temperature outside rises, the temperature in our classroom does as well! Unfortunately, we do not have air conditioning in our classroom to help us during the hot, humid days. Please dress your child appropriately for the heat and make sure to send them to school with a reusable water bottle each day, with ICE COLD water! Thank you!

Hello my wonderful families! This blog is a reminder that our ocean family day is tomorrow at 2:45pm! When you arrive at the school, please stop at the office to sign in and get a visitors sticker. Once you have your sticker, please come down to the classroom:)
A little about tomorrow:
The students will be placed all around the room with their ocean project and informational book they wrote in class. You may walk around to all the projects and talk with all the students (not just your child:))! You can ask them questions like “What ocean animal did you learn about?” “Can you tell me a fun fact you learned about your animal?” “Can you tell me about your project?” “Can you show me your book?”
Since we do not have air conditioning, it will be really warm and stuffy in the classroom. Please be prepared for the temperature of the classroom:)
I will have snacks, water and juice for the students and any family member who comes. I know some of you are fasting, but you may bring the treats home with you to enjoy after sunset:)
You can leave as soon as your are finished, but before you leave, please check out with me and make sure your child leaves with a little goodie I bought for each child<3. Also, you will be taking your child’s project home with you tomorrow and the book they made for this special day! If you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to email me!
Also, today is our LAST day for our scholastic book club orders! Please reference to the last blog post on how to order from our book club (if interested:)) Have a great day!
On Wednesday, May 30th we will be having a PBIS celebration to recognize your child’s positive behavior. This month’s celebration theme is A Day of Play. We will be having our lunch outside and enjoying outdoor play, so let’s hope the weather stays pleasant!
Your child may bring a towel or blanket to sit on during the picnic lunch, and we strongly encourage students bring a brown bag lunch since we will be eating outside. However, a bag lunch (cheese, crackers, or hummus and pita) will still be available for purchase in the cafeteria.
Your child is coming home with their spelling booklet today. This booklet can stay at home and be used for summer learning! Any word your child misspelled, please practice those words during the summer break to better prepare them for 1st grade! If your child received all 100%’s, use the spelling booklet for your child to read or they can put words into sentences or make a word family book for each spelling list…the possibilities are endless:) Have fun!
Also, this exact spelling booklet is the same one they use in 1st grade, so our students are one step ahead, which is always a great thing:)

Today is Family night starting at 5:30! Come out to celebrate the end of a great year!
We completed our Math MAP test today! After we take the reading MAP, I will send home the results of each child! I am so happy with a lot of the students and how hard they worked today to beat the 160 score (we had a ton reach this score…woo hoo)! I will be honest, we did have some students rush through the test, which ended in lower scores from winter to spring, which is quite disheartening to see due to all the hard work they have done this year! We have one more test to show what we know! Encourage your child to take their time and do their absolute, very best each day!
Tomorrow is late start! We will see you at 9:35am:)
