Please do not forget to join us for our “Haigh Last Day of School Drive-Thru”!!! This final chance to see your Haigh classroom , specials, and support teachers is taking place this Thursday from 10:00am-11:30am. We have definitely missed our owls and hope that you are able to come by to see us before Summer officially begins! K-2 families please use the Silvery Lane Drop Off Lane, 3rd-5th grade families please use the Coburn Drop Off Lane. Families that need to pick up medication, please stop by the staff parking lot behind Haigh. Please see the link below that provides more details about the event. For everyone’s safety we do ask that you stay in your car during the drive-thru. We look forward to seeing those that can make it!

Hello everyone, I would just like to take a moment to thank all of my families for an incredible and MEMORABLE Kindergarten year…it has been quite a ride lol! It has been an absolute pleasure working alongside all of you, ensuring your child’s success together! I will forever remember our time together (at school and online) and hope nothing but the best for your child in the future! Medication-Nurse Conn will be at Haigh to pass out student medications from this school year. She will be on Robindale near the staff parking lot.
Returning items- see directions below for classroom books, library books, and safety belts. Students who borrowed chromebooks can hold on to them until the Fall.

Steps for pick up:
For maximum protection we will be placing your students’ resources in a brown bag labeled with their First Name, Last Name, grade level and Teacher.
Pick-up will be a drive through service. Grades K-1-2 will pick up using the Silvery Lane drop off lane. Grades 3-4-5 will pick up using the Coburn drop off lane.
Parents please place a sign in your passenger window with the names of your student(s)(First Name, Last Name, Grade Level and Teacher.
When you pull up to the grade level station, we will then place the brown bag of resources into your trunk and you will be all set 🙂
Returning Haigh Items-We will have bins set up for safety belts, classroom books, library books, etc..Please place items in a clear/plastic bag that is labeled with the classroom teacher’s name or library. ***These items can be placed in your trunk and we will take out while placing your students brown bag of resources. ***Following these steps will keep everyone safe and healthy, thank you for your help and cooperation 🙂
We had a great participation week at home for our 11th week! Here is a recap of our online success…
Seesaw- I love being able to see all of your hard work on Seesaw!
Number Word Matching– 24 students (100%) completed reading number words and matching the correct number to the number word!
Seesaw -ub word family– 91% of my students wrote -ub words in the word family house!
Our LAST Seesaw Show ‘N Tell– Please make sure to watch my video on Seesaw! I have a special message for my kinder kids<3 I enjoyed show ‘n tell with all of my students on Seesaw over the last 12 weeks! Thank you to everyone who participated-We loved learning something new about you each week!
Heads up: Next week is our last week of school! We will only have 1 Seesaw activity on Monday and the rest of the week (Monday-Thursday) we will focus on wrapping up our year:)
Heads up- Next week, June 1-5th, will be our last full week of lessons! I will not monitor RAZ Kids, Reading Eggs and Math Seeds; your child can visit those sites as they please throughout the summer:) Also, I will only post 3 Seesaw activities next week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday), instead of 5 lessons.

RAZ kids- I had 20 students log onto RAZ kids this week, which is an 83% participation rate…I am ONE happy teacher! Next week, I will not monitor RAZ kids or Reading Eggs. Your child may visit any site they would like next week:)
I am thrilled to announce that 13 students are reading at or near the end of Kindergarten reading levels and I have 11 students reading at 1st grade! Also, the students have been scoring at 100% in drawing conclusions and identifying the setting on their quizzes. That is so amazing and I am so proud of them:)
Seesaw- I love being able to see all of your hard work on Seesaw!
Seesaw Read Aloud with Mrs. Fillmore- 20! 83% of my students completed their making connections activity! I love seeing how students can connect to stories:)
Seesaw Teen Numbers with Ten Frames- 22 students (91%) completed counting ten frames and matching the teen numbers!
Seesaw -og word family- 83% of my students sorted and read -og words and not -og words. So proud of how well my students are doing with their spelling words!
Seesaw Show ‘N Tell- The videos are still coming in and I LOVE each and every one of them. We learn something new each week about our friends and I truly love that about this activity! Keep the videos coming!
Math seeds- 19 students log into mathseeds this week!
Reading Eggs- I had 12 students who logged onto reading eggs this week.
Side note: Next week is our last full week of learning! We will only have 3 Seesaw activities to complete and I will not be monitoring the learning sites. Your child may explore the sites when they choose:) Thank you for rocking this remote learning at home with me!
