The end of the month is here, and that means it is time for our final PBIS celebration of the year! On Friday, May 31st, if your child has maintained positive behavior for the entire month, they will participate in Game Day! Students can bring in kindles, ipads, games/cards/puzzles from home to play at school with their friends. Please label everything that is brought in so nothing is misplaced. I do ask, if your child brings in technology from home, that the device has a protective case around it! If it doesn’t, you may risk the chance of the device getting damaged at school. This is a super fun event and a great way to recognize the positive behavior throughout our school!
We have finally finished our Ocean unit and our Informational writing unit! Today, your child is coming home with their Ocean reports! They have worked super hard on them all month, so I hope you take a little time to read over the report with your child! They will amaze you with all the fun facts they learned:) Enjoy!
The end of the school year is almost upon us and to celebrate we will be having a Kindergarten and Young 5’s Celebration! Our celebration will be held at school on June 13th from 1:30 – 3:15 pm. We are looking forward to a fun-filled afternoon, but we wanted to give you some important information first.
Since all of the Kindergarten classes and Young 5’s will be outside together, each class should wear their Y5 or Kindergarten T-shirt. If your child does not have a class shirt, please wear a shirt of similar color.
We will be providing your child with a fun snack and water, but we are asking that you please send your child in with sunscreen already on and a hat/sunglasses, if needed. In order for this day to be successful, we will need your help! You may be asked to help run a game, pass out popsicles, or the monitor bounce house. So please come ready to have fun and lend a helping hand! Please be aware that NO SIBLINGS will be allowed at this event. NO EXCEPTIONS. Remember you must sign in at the office and receive a “visitor” sticker.
Your child will not need to bring a backpack to school with them on this day. All of your child’s belongings will be sent home with them on June 12th.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. Thank you so much for all of your help and support. We look forward to a great celebration for a wonderful year!
Clean up parade photos: I am attaching some photos of our class in the parade that took place on Monday! The kids had so much!
End of Year results: The students are doing so wonderful in their end of the year testing! You all are doing a great job at preparing their child for these important tests! I still have many more students to test, but once I have all final results, I will make sure to send home your child’s scores! I can’t wait to see their end of the year growth…It’s going to be GOOD!
Reminder: There will be NO SCHOOL next Friday, May 24th-27th. I hope everyone enjoys their Memorial Day weekend:)

**Scholastic Book Club: This month is the last time to order from our online book club! Books make great gifts and also come in handy during the summer months! By ordering books or having your child read books throughout the summer, will help prevent your child from having summer learning loss! Get your child a head of their class by reading this summer! All the information is provided below:) Happy Reading!
Warmer weather is soon approaching! Please dress your child appropriately for these hot days, because we do go outside and it gets very warm in the classroom as well. Since we do go outside twice a day, we ask that you do not send your child to school with open toed shoes. The children play on wood chips, so we do not want your child getting splinters, cuts or a wood chip stuck in their skin. Having closed toed shoes will help prevent an accident and keep your child safe on the playground:) Make sure to send your child to school with ICE cold water everyday to give your child some relief from the hot temperatures.
