Report Cards coming home and other info (read in it’s entirety)!

Hello:)   In your child’s folder, you will find his/her report card  along with a current standing of your child’s sight word recognition list.  The words that are highlighted are the words your child missed in class.  Please use this list as a checklist or as a guide to help your child at home to master the sight word lists.   Remember to sign the manila envelope, take out the report card and place the envelope back in your child’s folder!   I need all envelopes brought back tomorrow.  Thank you!

You will also see a sheet attached to the sight word list called “Help your child become a better reader.”  Please use this handout to extend the reading at home with each book your child reads.  These questions will give more meaning and understanding to the books your child reads and better comprehension skills for your child to attain.   Thank you!

Also,  Rain forest Live will be here tonight at Haigh!  The 2 shows times are 5:30 or 7:30pm and it’s $5 admission for anyone who is 3 years old and up.  In your child’s folder you will see a yellow ticket.  Present this ticket when you arrive and your child will be able to pet an alligator (if he or she would like)!   How cool!

Remember: It’s gym day tomorrow and library check out!  Students can bring in their favorite stuffed animal from home to bring in the class for reading month!  The students will read a story to their stuffed animal:)  Spelling test on -ad words, -0 and homework will be tomorrow as well!
