Updates for the week:
- I did not test students on the -it family or +8 since we had a snow day on Friday. No spelling booklets came home today, so please disregard this on the Communication Log. Thank you:)
- Today we started a new word family -ot and +9. Make sure to review these words and addition facts at home with your child.
- Our Scholastic Preview Day is tomorrow. If you would like to send in money for this, please place it in an envelope and label how much money, write the titles of the books you would like your child to purchase and your child’s name on the front of the envelope. This will help the adults, when assisting your child in the book fair. Thank you for your cooperation:)
- Make sure to do the PAWS for READING calendar with your child at home and complete the reading log! Please refer to my last blog post for more information:)
- Also, we had our very first GUEST READER in the classroom today for March is Reading Month! We loved having Ms. Nadia in the classroom reading her son’s favorite book “Creepy Carrots.” Here is a picture of her reading to the class<3 Thank you Ms. Nadia!!
- If you would like to sign up to read to our class, please sign up on my calendar located at the Kindergarten drop off/dismissal door. We can’t wait to have more guest readers in our classroom:)
- We will not have book check out on Friday, due to the Book Fair going on in the library. Looks like the students have to hold onto their books for one more week:/ Please disregard our book check out date on the Communication Log as well. Our next book check out will be March 16th. Thank you!
- Lastly, Kindergarten Roundup, for new prospective families for the 2018/2019 school year will be this Thursday, March 8th from 5-6pm. If you know anyone interested, please let them know the date and time. Thank you:)
