Remote Learning~ Week 3 Results!

Next week : April 6th-10th is spring break!  We will not have any activities due for this week while we are at home and staying healthy:)  The students are more than welcome to play around on seesaw and view their friends’ work and make comments if they would like:)  Parents, make sure you go back to your child’s submissions and see my comments back to your child! Also, on Monday April, 6th I will post scavenger hunts and virtual field trips to do while on break:):) Also, At 2:00 p.m. every week day, an artist named Steve Harpster goes live and does artwork for the kids.  Here is his link if you are interested. Carmella and Mia love it:) https://www.facebook.com/harptoons/

Welcome - Advantage Awards and Engraving

Seesaw-  I love being able to see all of your hard work on Seesaw!  The most rewarding thing about this program is seeing all of my students and families working hard all week, ensuring your child is doing their work correctly. You are all AMAZING!

Seesaw weekend writing- 79% of my students uploaded their weekend writing!  I am so proud of my 19 students that submitted their work!  I love being able to see my students’ writing and also, I can provide feedback to my students about how to strengthen their writing at home.  Parents, please make sure you are going to revisit your child’s activities to read the comments and or suggestions from me. Thank you for your continued support<3

Seesaw Spring Story- 70% of my students submitted a drawing/typing entry of what they like to do in the spring! I hope you enjoyed the story too…I thought it was cute:)

Seesaw Addition- 19 students (79%)  submitted the addition activity!  If your child would like more practice with their math skills, they can visit MATH SEEDS for additional work online:)

Seesaw Show ‘N Tell- The videos are still coming in and I LOVE each and every one of them.  We learn something new each week about our friends and I truly love that about this activity!  Keep the videos coming!

Math seeds- We had 13 students that logged into math seeds this week!  WOW, that’s a big jump from last week! Great job families!

Reading Eggs- I had 6 students who logged onto reading eggs this week.  In addition to RAZ kids, I can monitor your child’s reading activities and lessons on reading eggs as well!  Another great program that Haigh offers to our families:)

Side note: Please make sure your child is learning their sight words (100 total), completing 1 eureka math lesson a day and 1 writing prompt a day as well:)  I will be adding in spelling words after we return from break! Thank you!

Remind app/email/seesaw- As always, please email, text me on remind app or contact me on seesaw if you have any questions.

As we leave you off for spring break, here is a video for our Haigh Owls. You are missed beyond measure and I will ALWAYS be here for you! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DL-_Kv_M2iI
