Library Check Out will be on Mondays! Children will check out one book each week as long as they have brought back their book from the previous week. Children will bring home their library book on Monday to read the entire week and will keep their book until the following Monday!   The library book does not go into your child’s reading bag. It will stay in their backpack or at home. Thank you:)

Open House note came home on Thursday!  Please read over to understand the purpose of this awesome night! Thank you:) You are invited to Open House on September 12th, 2019 from 6-7:30pm.  The purpose of Open House is for your child to show you around the classroom and the school.  This will allow for you to see where your child goes to gym, art, music and where they eat lunch in the cafeteria.  With open house being only a couple weeks into school and for confidentiality reasons, please save all questions about your child’s progress for conferences, which will be at a later time. There will be sign up sheets, in the classroom,  for Parent Teacher Conferences in November. Conferences are the time where we can talk together about your child and how they are doing so far. Thank you so much for your cooperation. We look forward to meeting you at Open House and getting your child excited about school!

PICTURE TIME: -This week we learned the rules and procedures for Read to Self and Work on Writing. The students were able to use flashlights during Read to self as they read their stories. We learned 3 ways to read a book: read the pictures, read the words, retell the story. Please practice this at home as well when reading stories with your child:) During work on writing, the students sat in flexible seating and traced their names with expo markers and socks. They loved it! Enjoy the pictures from this week:) https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1-0r4AFWN21XMBjTkdt9RpgwWVOPxy2HO
