Other:
- NWEA testing is officially over! I will be sending home your child’s results the 2nd week of June ( I am still DRA testing). The growth each child made is quite remarkable! If you notice your child didn’t make as much growth from Fall to Spring in Reading and or Math, please use these areas to work on over the summer. It will better prepare them for 1st grade!
- Out of 22 students today, who took their LAST spelling test, 18 received a 100% and 4 students only missed 1 to 2 words!! This is a TOTAL victory! Way to go to my students and parents who worked so hard to ensure their child was successful for the Friday spelling test! I will send the booklet home on Monday for you all to see how your child did:). Remember, to look over your child’s spelling test booklet, sign on the line and return the booklet in the green folder the very next day (TUESDAY)! It is imperative I receive them all back the next day! Thank you!
- Please note, all spelling and math tests will be counted for on your child’s report card. It is imperative to continue to study with your child on a daily basis. Thank you for your continued support and cooperation in this matter!
- Out of 22 students today, we had 16 students receive a 100% on their LAST math quiz -8! If your child is not performing at 70% or above, I suggest making flash cards for your child to practice at home with! Way to go to my 16 students. I am so proud of you!!

PBIS: A Day of Play Note!
Dear Families,
On Wednesday, May 30th we will be having a PBIS celebration to recognize your child’s positive behavior. This month’s celebration theme is A Day of Play. We will be having our lunch outside and enjoying outdoor play, so let’s hope the weather stays pleasant!
Your child may bring a towel or blanket to sit on during the picnic lunch, and we strongly encourage students bring a brown bag lunch since we will be eating outside. However, a bag lunch (cheese, crackers, or hummus and pita) will still be available for purchase in the cafeteria.
Thank you,
Haigh PBIS Committee
