Newsletter for Week 16 (RECAP and NEW info)!

Spelling Test results:  Out of 19 students who took the -an test, we had 17 students receive a 100%!  We had 2 students only get 1 wrong on the test!  This is an amazing accomplishment!  Way to go students!

Math Test:  We only had 8 students, out of 19 receive a 100% on their +1 math test.  Please practice these facts at home during break along with numbers +2!

We officially have Reading Buddies!!!  We will be joining  Ms. Cronin’s 4th grade class, every Friday, for reading buddies!  Today, the students were able to get to know each other by filling out a survey.  Your child is sending home their survey in their folders today!  Here are some pictures of our meeting with each other.  We also ended our visit with some Go Noodle dancing!  Woo hoo!

There will be no homework over break, but please review sight words, letters/sounds, and math facts over break!  We will start back up on spelling words, homework and math tests when we come back on January 8th.  Here are the spelling words and math facts to study over break:

Week of 1/8/2018: Spelling words to study: it, in, said, jet, met, pet, set, net, vet

Math facts (+2): 2+0=,  2+1=, 2+2=, 2+3+, 2+4=, 2+5=, 2+6=, 2+7=, 2+8=, 2+9=2+10=

Please consider logging onto these NWEA sights, during break, to better prepare your child for their 2nd round of NWEA MAP testing in January!  These sites will help keep their minds SHARP during the break!

Also, reading eggs and math seeds are a MUST during this long break.  Some memory loss can happen during 16 days off of school, but keeping your child’s mind active and learning will prevent this from happening!  Enjoy the free programs offered to you from Haigh!

Thank you to my families for making my first half of the year in Dearborn a success!  You all are truly amazing…I can’t wait to see what we do in 2018 together!  Cheers to a healthy and happy new year to all my families and students!  Enjoy the 16 days off:)  See you all back on Monday, January 8th!

Love, Mrs. Fillmore
