This just in!

We will extend our Turkey Worksheet Due date until Friday, we had a shortened Math time today because of the late start & Book Fair.

Friday is the last day for the Book Fair. Send money, including tax, tomorrow or Friday if interested in buying books.

We have swimming tomorrow 1:10-1:55

You should make sure your Science Notebook is up to date. Check under the Daily Planner Snapshot for a picture of my Science Notebook.

I enjoyed meeting with so many families & I can’t wait to meet with the last few tomorrow!

Students have been working on their United States Regions project for 3 weeks now.

Each student should have:

1. The research-ing paper- there is a list of questions students should answer to help with their paper.  Finished by 11/3. (We did research in class the week of 10/26-10/30)
2. Rough Draft completed by 11/13 (Time was given in class & students were asked to finish at home if they needed to)
3. Started typing research paper into a Google Doc on 11/13 (Many students completed 1-3 paragraphs in class today)

The 1st 2 paragraphs typed are due on Monday. Students can access their Google Doc via Google using their school email address. We went over this in class. (Type Google Docs into the search bar of your internet browser). If your child does not have internet access please write me a note and make sure their rough draft is ready to be typed into a Google Doc on Monday.

Type in “Google Docs” to your internet browser

2. 

Click on the BLUE “Go to Google Docs” button

3. 

Sign-in with your school email address, which is your school ID number @dearbornschools.org (Example: 200123456@dearbornschools.org)

4. 

Click on your Regions Report Doc & start working.

The blog has an updated look, which I think most of you have seen!

Planner Snapshots will be uploaded as regularly as possible. You have find a picture of my planner under “Daily Planner Snapshots.”

The students decided that posting helpful information for each day or homework or assignment would be fit under “Daily Planner Snapshots” as well.

Online games or class reviews will be posted under “Websites & Helpful Links “

Updates on Specials will be listed under “Specials Schedule and Info.” 

Spelling words & our weekly Word Work paper are posted under “Weekly Spelling Words.” 

To check your conference time, click on the “Conference” tab & follow the link to Sign-up Genius.

If there is a general announcement  or something I need to share with families it will be posted here under “Home.” Make sure you click on “read more…” to see the whole post.

Tomorrow is our Music field trip to the orchestra!

We will depart Henry Ford at 10 AM.

The concert is at 11 AM.

We will return by 12 PM.

Students not attending the field trip are still expected to attend school tomorrow.
