Social Studies Night!!!
Tomorrow, Tuesday, April 19th is Social Studies Night!
Come back to school from 5-6:30 for hands on Social Studies activities!

Final Day for Running Club 4/19 & Martian Marathon Photo!!!
Good Morning!
Would you please announce to your classes today that tomorrow, Tuesday,4/19, is the final day of Running Club for 4th AND 5th graders for this year!
We will be taking the Martian Marathon Photo tomorrow, also! Have them wear their t-shirt, bandanna and medal to Running Club for the photo!

Snack Donations for Testing Days
Good afternoon!
I first want to say that I’m SO exciting for our NWEA testing and M-STEP testing. That might sound odd to you, but these students have worked SO HARD this school year! I am extremely proud of the growth and effort that I have seen in this class! Testing does not define a person, but it can be an opportunity to show how hard you’ve been working. I know these students are going to ROCK the NWEA and ROCK the M-STEP!!! I can’t wait to see their scores soar!
If you are able, we are looking for donations for snacks on testing days. Dr. Moughni, HFES, and The State of Michigan will be providing snacks during some testing days.
Think healthier choices like: fruit, veggies, yogurt, Go-Gurt, granola bars, pastries without sugar/icing, pita, hummus, milk, orange juice, grape juice, apple juice, etc. If you are donating bottles of juice, please also donate cups for the students to use 🙂
Please NO sugary food donations. No donuts, no sticky buns, no Pop-Tarts, no Caprisun drinks, etc.

Music Concert 6/3
I just wanted to let you know that we will be having a fourth grade concert June 3rd. I got approval to have the concert on this day. I will give you more information as we get closer to the date!

Martian Marathon Runner Picture TOMORROW (Tuesday 4/12)
Hi, all!
Would you please remind your Martian Marathon Runners to wear their t-shirt tomorrow, Tuesday, 4/11 and bring their medal and bandana to school so we can take a picture at 3 pm in the gym?
The picture will be in the gym at 3 pm on Tuesday!

Swimming Starts Monday 4/11
From Mrs. Suarez:
In case you haven’t heard, your students will be swimming in PE class for the next 2 weeks beginning on Monday, April 11, 2016! The students are very excited! I know that the Spring pictures are Monday, 4/11, so if you have a student taking a picture, have them bring their swim gear and hopefully they will have their picture taken before they swim.
I have already talked with them about the things they need to know in PE class. I do have swim caps available to the girls for $5. Some of them will wear their swim suit under their clothes so they can change quicker in the locker room.
Would you please remind them on Friday that they are swimming on Monday if you remember?

Teacher of the Year- DUE THURSDAY!
Henry Ford Families-
Don’t forget that applications for teacher of the year are due by Thursday, April 7 at 5 PM. We have an amazing staff of teachers at Henry Ford Elementary School! If you have had a teacher that has touched your life, consider nominating them for this amazing award. Don’t forget about your special’s teachers! I hope that you would consider nominating one of the outstanding teachers you’ve had in past years at Henry Ford. Even if they don’t work at Henry Ford any longer, they might still be a Dearborn Public Schools employee. What could be a better way to say “Thank You,” and “Great Job!” to someone who is near and dear to your heart?

End of Card Marking 3
If you have been absent please check Google Classroom to make up any missing work.
Today is the last day of the 3 marking period. If you have any missing MyOn or Google Classroom assignments, please turn them in ASAP. I will be working on grades until about 5:30/6 tonight.

Narrative Fantasy Writing Due 2/25
Tomorrow, Thursday 2/25, your final Narrative Fantasy Writing is due. You have 2 choices:
- Write out your story with your best handwriting
OR
2. Type your story using Google Docs https://docs.goodle.com <– use your 200 & your password (remember they changed it a few weeks ago.) When you’re done, hit the blue “SHARE” button on the right & share with me, Emily Brady.
You only need to have 1 final paper tomorrow, either a piece of paper or a shared document via Google Docs.
