WRESTLING TOURNAMENT May 3rd 2024 2nd ANNUAL DEARBORN MIDDLE SCHOOL TOURNAMENT

  • Friday, MAY 3RD 2024 WRESTLING TOURNAMENT at DEARBORN HIGH SCHOOL
  • WHO CAN ENTER: 7TH AND 8TH GRADERS attending a public school in Dearborn
    (BRYANT, LOWREY, WOODWORTH, O.L. SMITH, STOUT, SALINA, UNIS)
  • HOW TO PARTICIPATE: Practice at any of the high schools each day to train
  • Dearborn high school practice: 3:45-5:15 PM, APRIL 29TH – MAY 2ND (Monday through Thursday)
  • Edsel Ford practice: 3:50-5:15
  • Fordson High school: 5:15-7:00 PM
  • Weigh-ins will be on May 2nd at practice to group wrestlers into weight classes for the tournament.
  • Awards will be given for 1st , 2nd , and 3rd place in each weight class
  • Wrestling shoes highly recommended
  • If you did not play a middle school sport this year- then you need a sports physical

Boy’s Swimming Parent Meeting Tomorrow at 7PM

The parent meeting will be tomorrow at 7PM.

You will need to turn in a sports physical if you have not done so yet. You can find the physical at the top of the blog. If you haven’t signed up to tryout, please do so below.

Boy’s Swimming Tryouts Sign-up

Tryouts: Monday 1/24 from 11:45-1pm

Tuesday1/25 from 3:30-4:45

Wednesday 1/26 from 3:30-4:45

Friday 1/28 will be a makeup day from 3:30-4:45 if needed.

Future DHS Football Players

Good afternoon future DHS football players and parents —

Just a reminder that there will be a player/parent meeting to kick of the 2021-22 DHS football season on Tuesday, May 25th at 7:00 PM outside in the home bleachers at the turf field at DHS.  We’ll be introducing our new head coach, Alex Grignon, and some other members of the coaching staff as well as talking about plans for the summer and expectations for the upcoming season.

The quiz on Chapters 1-4 is this Monday.

Any late or missing assignments regarding Flowers for Algernon are due by Wednesday. I will not accept anything assigned before The Outsiders after that.

 Today we are reading Ch. 4 of the Outsiders and answering the questions.

Today in class we read Ch. 2 as a class and then worked on the Ch. 1-2 questions.

Due Today: Spring Book Form and the Ch. 1-2 Questions for The Outsiders.

 If you need help or want to work on either assignment with me please join me in the Learning Lab. I’ll be online until 3:15.

The Quiz on Chapters 1-4 is going to be Monday.

Today in class we read Ch. 1 of The Outsiders. For homework, students should answer the Chapter 1 questions and begin working on their Character Charts.

Parent/Teacher conferences are this evening. I have sent out emails to parents and students of those I would like to see to discuss student progress.
