Model Retake

Students,

If you were interested in doing a retake on the summative model drawing, you have two options. Either before school (7:20) tomorrow in my room, or after school I’m Ms. Duquette’s classroom. You do not need to make corrections to your original.

Model Reading/Talk to the Text

If you were absent today, we took a break from our activities to read a bit about what models are and how they are used. While reading, students needed to annotate (talk to the text) to make connections. If you were absent, or left your assignment at school, there is a copy below.

This is due tomorrow (Wednesday if you were absent today)

7th Grade Science Information

Hello families,

I am excited to welcome you to the 19-20 school year, particularly to the wonderful subject that is science!

Today in class, students went over the expectations that I have for them moving forward with the school year. They were given a “Parent Brochure” to bring home and go over with you.

I ask that after you read through the classroom information with them, you sign the back and have them show me the signature. It is important that you closely read, as supplies, retake, and grading policies are subjects I would like everyone to be familiar with moving forward.

If your child “misplaced” their copy, you may find another attached below!

There will be an Open House of Wednesday, September 11th where we will have the chance to meet and discuss more detailed information about the science curriculum.

I look forward to a great year!

-Mr. Bailey

Bryant Annual Science Fair

Families,

Tonight we will be holding the science fair form 6:00-7:00 at Bryant. During this time, students are invited to display their hard work and explain their projects to any who chose to stop and listen. At this event, we will also be announcing the first, second, and third place winners for each grade level. While all students are welcome, we ask that the ten finalist from 7th grade (they know who they are) please attend, in the event they are selected as one of the winners.

There will also be refreshments available for purchase to help raise funds for our 8th grade trip at the end of the month!

Creating a Graph Using Google Slides

Hey everyone,

Today, in class, many of you were curious about how to create a graph of your data for your Projects (DUE MONDAY 4/15)

I did my best to try a whip up a short step by step tutorial on how to do so. Make sure you don’t mix up your X and Y axis when doing this!

Here is the “amazing” tutorial
