Hello everyone,

I want to apologize for my inactivity on the blog this week. It has been a busy one and I have been very on the go!

FOR THE PARENTS

I want to thank the parents that came to conferences Monday, I enjoyed meeting and talking with most of you about your child’s progress in my class! If I was unable to get to you, thank you for showing up and please email me or call me with any questions you may have. If you plan to come to conferences tonight, they go from 3:30-6:30 and I look forward to meeting with you.

FOR THE STUDENTS

Students, here are the links to the 2 YouTube videos we watched in class demonstrating chemical changes happening.

Just like with all chemical reactions, these are not meant for fun and do not attempt to do them without adult permission and supervision.

5 Types of Chemical Reactions

Reaction of Potassium and Water

For those of you who may not have copied down the homework assignment for today:

Homework

On a separate sheet of notebook paper

Page 21 in your text books

Enjoy your day!

Students

If you did not finish your lab report today in class make sure you finish it at home today.

Remember that density is an objects mass divided by its volume.

You have to also answer the questions on the back. Any questions, please ask.

Section 1.1 Test Retake

Students,

I was looking over the test retake sign-up sheets today and I noticed that not many people signed up for a retake. I encourage you to view your overall class grade at this point on student connect. If your grade is not something you are happy with, look at your test score and see if it can be improved.

The test was a significant portion of your grade for this marking period, and is the best opportunity to make up missing points in your overall grade.

If you have any questions or you cannot access your student connect, please email me or see me after class tomorrow!

Enjoy your evening!

-Mr. Bailey
