Monday, September 3:

No school! Happy Labor Day!

Tuesday, September 4:

Since today was our first day together as a class, we figured that it would be a good idea to get to know one another. So Mr. Moylan and Ms. Rosbury led the class through a couple of inclusion activities.

Wednesday, Septemeber 5:

We made it back to class, and we were all on the attendance list this time! We then got into one big group and did another activity involving a big ball of plastic wrap and candy. After a mad scramble to grab as much candy as we could, Mr. Moylan led us in a debrief discussion about the activity and the things that we could learn from it.

Thursday, September 6:

Today we got a couple of surprises! First off was our brand new seating chart! After settling into our new seats and having a quick chat about some class expectations, we got to spend the rest of class coloring, cutting, and filling out a self-pennant so that we could see how some math relates to our lives.

These finished pennants might just be making an appearance somewhere in the classroom later on, so keep an eye out…

Friday, September 7:

Picture Day! Dress accordingly and smile!

We started off our class today by discussing our Syllabus and our homework for the weekend is to get that last page signed and turned in to Mr. Moylan by next Wednesday!

Then, we did an activity in a small group where we came up with as many examples as we possibly could relating to norms and expectations for our class in different settings: Test/Quiz, Individual, Small Group, and Whole group.

After working in our small group, we started sharing our answers with the whole group and Mr. Moylan put them on the board so that we could discuss.
