Monday, September 2: No school; happy Labor Day!

Tuesday, September 3: We explored patterns and inductive reasoning today in the Chapter 1 Overview.

Wednesday, September 4: We began a deep dive into the key vocabulary of geometry in the Exploring “The Language of Geometry”, getting through page 1.

Thursday, September 5: Today continued our exploration of “The Language of Geometry”, pushing through the rest of the the pages in this section. There’s also a Practice Assignment on Agile Mind, so make sure that you log in and complete it. Open House Tonight, 6 – 7:30!

Friday, September 6: We took a breath today and slowed down a bit, working with our table groups to review some of the vocabulary terms we’ve learned and their examples on a . After the vocab, we worked on another assignment on Agile Mind. While we were doing that, Moylan worked with small groups of students to discuss specific problems from last night’s homework.

In order to begin the brand new school year, we spent the first week getting to know our classmates and building a sense of community within the classroom.

Students were given a class syllabus and asked to go over it with someone at home before having it signed and returned.

We also spent some time exploring the brand new resource, Agile Mind, which we will be piloting in the classroom this semester. Students were given a scavenger hunt activity to complete.
